Study Mozart in the city where his operas were born. Mozart in Salzburg is an elite, two-week intensive program designed for singers seeking advanced training in Mozart arias and scenes through immersive performance study, individualized coaching, and professional development.
Limited to only six singers, the program offers unparalleled access to an international faculty, including internationally renowned Mozart singer and teacher Barbara Bonney and stage director Johannes Oertel. Further masterclasses and private lessons are taught by mezzo-soprano Abigail Nims and Passaggio Founder Victoria Browers, bringing diverse artistic and professional perspectives to the training. Singers will also have the opportunity to work with therapist and soprano, Dana Hammett, on performance anxiety issues and self-expression through inner voice exploration..
Participants engage in daily arias and scenes rehearsals, private instruction, and both individual and group masterclasses focusing on performance anxiety, stage craft, text work, and dramatic interpretation, alongside intensive musical and vocal coaching—all within the musical and cultural heart of Salzburg. The program concludes with a semi-staged gala concert where all participants are featured. The concert is professionally recorded and accessable to each participant. Each participant also recieves a professional headshot session, and a mock audition with faculty feedback. Optional solo recordings are available for a nominal fee.
